ULA Postpones GPS 2F Launch

[05-20-10] United Launch Alliance (ULA) has postponed the Delta 4 launch of the U.S. Air Force’s Global Positioning System 2F-SV1satellite (GPS 2F-SV1) to May 21, the company announced.
ULA said its mission managers determined that a piece of ground support equipment used to control one of the swing arms on the rocket’s fixed umbilical tower was not operating correctly. Replacing the arm will add one day to launch processing. The new launch window will begin at 11:04 p.m EDT.
Created by the U.S. Department of Defense, the GPS 2F-SV1 satellite aims to provide navigational assistance for U.S. military operations on land, at sea, and in the air.
