Neuraspace Secures €15.6 Million for Space Traffic and Monitoring Expansion

Neuraspace, a European provider of AI-enabled Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic Management (STM) solutions, has announced €15.6 million in new financing, combining strategic private investment from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners with funding awarded under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRRP), supporting the company’s growth strategy. The funding had accelerated the expansion of Neuraspace’s commercial and defense capabilities in autonomous space operations, sovereign sensing infrastructure and artificial intelligence. 

The investment has expanded Neuraspace’s AI platform, accelerated autonomous mission operations, increased its proprietary optical sensing infrastructure, and further developed NeuraspaceDEF, the company’s dual-use capability supporting governmental and defense users with Space Domain Awareness services.

The new financing has built on Neuraspace’s commercial and technological progress since its founding in 2020, including revenue growth of more than 350% over the past year. The company had monitored more than 600 satellites operated by commercial and institutional customers, including Spire Global, GEOSAT, NanoAvionics, Sidus Space, U-Space and the European Space Agency, helping operators prevent collisions, improve operational resilience and safely conduct increasingly autonomous missions. Neuraspace’s growing presence in the defense sector had also included contracts with the Portuguese Air Force and NATO. More recently, Neuraspace had been selected as prime contractor by a European MoD, expanding its role as a European provider of dual-use space safety and security services. 

The investment had come at a time when the space environment has been becoming increasingly congested, contested and competitive. Alongside growing collision risks, satellite operators had also faced cyber-attacks, radio-frequency interference, GNSS spoofing and jamming, and increasingly sophisticated counterspace activities that had required continuous operational awareness and rapid decision support. 

Neuraspace’s platform had combined data from commercial and sovereign sensors with high-precision orbit determination, AI-enabled risk and threat assessment, and autonomous decision support, enabling commercial operators, government agencies, and defense organizations to detect, assess, and respond more rapidly to both routine operational events and emerging threats. By combining sovereign sensing infrastructure with AI-enabled data fusion and operational automation, Neuraspace has contributed to Europe’s technological sovereignty while reducing dependence on external surveillance capabilities.
