Second-stage engine of China’s improved Long March-8 rocket passes test

China has successfully tested the second-stage engine of the improved Long March-8 rocket, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).

This marks a milestone achievement in the development of the improved Long March-8 rocket.

The improved Long March-8 rocket will be one of the main rockets operating in low- and medium- orbits in China. It is scheduled to make its maiden flight at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in south China’s Hainan Province in the latter half of this year.
