Spire Global Signs Weather Intelligence Deal With AiDash For Grid Risk Management

Spire Global has secured a new contract in the energy and utilities sector, supplying advanced weather intelligence to AiDash to support grid resilience and risk management, the companies said on Jan. 22.

Under the agreement, Spire Global will provide high-resolution weather forecasts derived from its fully deployed satellite constellation to AiDash. The data has been integrated into AiDash’s AI-driven tools for vegetation management, outage prediction and wildfire ignition risk, and is now being deployed in control centers at utilities across North America.

AiDash said the integration combines Spire’s weather forecasting capabilities with its vegetation and asset risk models, offering utilities a more comprehensive view of weather-driven threats to the electric grid. The companies said the approach is intended to help operators better anticipate outages, reduce wildfire risk and improve response planning.

“The future of grid resilience is not just predicting a storm but predicting how that storm impacts vegetation within a right-of-way,” said Abhishek Singh, chief executive of AiDash. “This synergy ensures utilities have an unparalleled view of risk, allowing them to proactively manage vegetation, prevent outages, and protect critical assets.”

Singh said high-resolution forecasts from Spire will now serve as a core data source across AiDash’s weather-dependent AI tools, strengthening outage prediction accuracy and wildfire ignition intelligence.

Spire said the deal expands its footprint in the energy sector, where utilities are increasingly using satellite-based data and analytics to manage climate-related risks and improve grid reliability as extreme weather events become more frequent.
