Vibrant Discussions A Underpin Busy September

Welcome to the October Edition of Via Satellite. We are just back from a series of events including Connected Aviation Intelligence, IBC, and World Satellite Business Week where there have been a huge number of discussions about the state of the satellite industry. Certainly, Telesat’s recent announcement regarding its Lightspeed constellation gave an added impetus to these discussions. At Connected Aviation Intelligence, we also had Amazon for the first time appearing at a Connected Aviation event talking about how its Project Kuiper constellation can impact this vertical.

Our October edition contains a number of exciting features. My colleague Jeff Hill does an in-depth interview with the CEO of Rocket Lab, Peter Beck as we delve into one of the companies that has really changed the face of the launch market in the last decade.

Speaking of World Satellite Business Week, my colleague Rachel Jewett gives us her 10 key takeaways from the event. Our other feature sees Marisa Torrieri look at how companies are investing in multi-orbit services. The multi-orbit discussion has really kicked on recently and this article looks at how companies can really monetize their approach here.

As we enter the fall, our attention will turn towards CyberSatGov and even SATELLITE 2024 in March next year. There have been some major announcements this year, and I am pretty sure we are not done yet. We appreciate your support as always and wish you all the best for the rest of the year.
