CesiumAstro, a leader in advanced space communications, has been awarded a contract to deliver a new active phased array variant as part of an expansion to its Skylark product line. This large-aperture array, built on CesiumAstro’s scalable active phased array architecture, will support modernization of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS), a critical part of missile defense.
This award underscores Skylark’s value as a software-defined, mobile-ready terminal. The system’s modular design allows it to adapt to evolving mission needs, including integration across a wide range of platforms, from ground vehicles to next-generation airborne assets.
“We are honored to support the Missile Defense Agency in strengthening national security through resilient, high-performance communications,” said Shey Sabripour, Founder and CEO of CesiumAstro. “With our phased array architecture and ability to deliver advanced solutions with speed and reliability, CesiumAstro will provide our customer and the Missile Defense Agency a high-performance solution.”
CesiumAstro will collaborate with the customer to meet mission requirements with a focus on ensuring the system meets the highest standards for performance, security and readiness.
