SATELLITE 2022 Will Provide Pointers for the Year Ahead

We are getting ready for our second SATELLITE show in six months in March. We are really looking forward to this one, as we expect more global participation as the world continues to make its way out of this pandemic, which has tested all of us in different ways.

We bring you an absolute bumper edition of Via Satellite, with some new features, as well as some of our tried and tested favorites. Rachel Jewett brings a super story about women in satellite, with stories and testimonials across the length and breadth of the industry. This is well worth a read, and showcases great talent in the industry.

This edition also features our anticipated 10 Hottest Companies in Satellite, where we pick 10 companies that could make a big impression over the next year. This is regularly one of our top stories. So, who makes the cut this time? Read on to find out.

We also share the nominees for Satellite Executive of the Year (SEOTY) and Satellite Technology of the Year (STOTY) awards. In terms of SEOTY, I cannot remember a more diverse lineup. The STOTY award is less than five years old, but continues to grow in strength. We had more than 30 nominations this year, and the award is more contested than ever. It never gets any easier to judge these awards, and I have been doing it for a while now! The industry is awash with great stories, great technologies, and importantly great people, which makes picking one winner for each of these awards a difficult task. You can also have a significant say in the recipients through the public vote.

We look forward to seeing you soon at SATELLITE to discuss what is next for our industry.
