The successful one-rocket, 10-satellite mission advanced the deployment of the Qianfan constellation while reinforcing Zhuque-2E’s role in China’s expanding commercial launch market.

The mission delivered an entire satellite group on a single flight, enabling Qianfan to add orbital capacity through a coordinated batch deployment. Multi-satellite launches are particularly important for large constellations because they can reduce deployment costs, simplify launch procurement and accelerate the establishment or replenishment of orbital planes.

Zhuque-2E is one of LandSpace’s primary operational launch vehicles and currently handles the company’s regular commercial missions. The two rockets are designed to meet different customer and mission requirements rather than follow a simple replacement sequence. Zhuque-2E addresses current commercial demand, including near-term satellite and constellation launches, while Zhuque-3 is intended to support future missions requiring increased lift capacity and reusable launch operations.

LandSpace is also using technical commonality between the two vehicles to support faster development. Zhuque-2E and the first and second stages of Zhuque-3 use Tianque-12A and Tianque-15A engines, respectively, while both launch systems employ pneumatic pushers for separation between their first and second stages.

Sharing propulsion and stage-separation technologies can reduce development and production costs and allow qualification results, flight data and operational experience from one vehicle to inform improvements to the other.
